Step 1: Enable full auto-hinting:
Open a text editor (gedit) and paste the below code in it. Save the file as .fonts.conf in the home folder
<?xml version="1.0″ ?>
<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM "fonts.dtd">
<fontconfig>
<match target="font">
<edit name="autohint" mode="assign">
<bool>true</bool>
</edit>
</match>
</fontconfig>
Step 2: Set rendering/hinting for Gnome
System > Settings > Appearance > [Fonts tab]
Under the "Rendering" section, select "Subpixel smoothing (LCDs)".
Click the "Details" button.
Ensure your screen's DPI is set correctly (defaults to 96 dpi, but my screen is approximately 94 dpi)
Under the section "Smoothing", make sure "Subpixel (LCD)" is chosen.
Under the section "Hinting", make sure "Slight" is chosen.

Synaptic download location

You could just mount the partition to "/var/cache/apt/archives". If you don't run "apt-get clean" the downloaded packages should stay there. I'd recommend doing a backup of the directory first, creating a new one and then mount the partition:
sudo mv /var/cache/apt/archives /var/cache/apt/archives_bk
sudo mkdir /var/cache/apt/archives
sudo mount /dev/sdXX /var/cache/apt/archives/

Cloud Applications
Soon to be launched subscription service which will synchronise emails, photos and contacts between multiple devices. Your desktop, laptop and mobile device will stay in sync so long as they have access to Apple's servers in the cloud.
Google Docs has an intuitive interface and consists of applications normally associated with the desktop - a word processor, spreadsheet and presentation designer. Documents can be saved to the cloud or to your own machine. Multiple users can work on the same document from different computers with changes taking effect almost instantly.
Attractive online word processor with cloud storage space for your documents. Also includes collaboration tools and an online PDF converter. Currently in beta testing but free to join.
Flash based desktop environment aimed at users of internet cafés. Dragging a file onto the 'desktop' actually uploads it to the cloud giving easy access from any internet-enabled PC.
Sun's data centres are available for hire by the hour to power on-demand cloud services. Used mainly for processing scientific data, the servers can also be used for rendering animations via the open source Blender 3D software on the desktop.
Use your phone to take a snapshot of anything you need to remember then upload it to Evernote's servers in the cloud. Any text in the images is scanned and indexed to create a searchable database. Currently in private beta testing.
Microsoft's search engine for mobile phones makes heavy use of cloud processing to bring a rich experience to searching on handheld devices.
This service uses speech recognition in the cloud to convert voice messages into 'tweets' on the social network Twitter. Currently in beta testing, you'll need to join the queue for an invitation to join.
A database application with an attractive interface, how-to videos and innovative drag and drop design. Once created, your database can be shared with other users of the site.
Photo editing in the cloud. Upload images from your local machine or import them from another site such as Flickr or Facebook. The site's colourful buttons mask powerful photo retouching tools. It's also possible to add text, shapes or a frame to your creation.
Another photo editor which makes good use of the cloud to store your pics. Tools for editing photographs will be familiar to users of Adobe's industry standard Photoshop image editor. Once the masterpiece is complete, you can add it to the site's gallery for all to admire.

Ubuntu Partitions (Installation)

Start the installation and select manual installation in Step3. Follow the steps below in Step4
Swap - 512MB (approx)
ext2 - / - 4068 - 10240MB (approx depending on your requirement)
ext3 - /home (Your wish)
Some Comments:
Swap is like temporary memory like the page file in windows it used for implementation of virtual memory technique i think so.....
/ is the root directory which holds everything.....
/home is where your user profile would be created it's like the Storage of program files and whatever u download or create is held here... it has been separated out from the root so that while u partition the drive for a new installation u don't loose the program configurations or your downloaded files........ there is no other specific reason for the /home to be separated out from the root

Conversation
Proverbs 19
2 It is not good to have zeal without knowledge,
nor to be hasty and miss the way.
8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
he who cherishes understanding prospers.
11 A man's wisdom gives him patience;
it is to his glory to overlook an offense.
20 Listen to advice and accept instruction,
and in the end you will be wise.
23 The fear of the LORD leads to life:
Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.
